Release Notes - Panning with WASD
Refining navigation in the workspace
Continuing to improve the navigation experience means interating on, and refining, existing tools. To that end, navigation in a workspace has been improved by the addition of panning using the W A S and D keys.
Navigation, which was last updated in March, is an unavoidable interaction while annotating. Because of this, being able to navigate smoothly has a massive impact on both your annotation experience and your annotation efficiency.
Panning can add long periods of inaction while trying to achieve the perfect view of the object. By adding a keyboard shortcut for directional panning in addition to mouse navigation, you can annotate more effectively. During testing, annotators found that they were able to easily adapt, and use the keyboard for adjustments while maintaining mouse position for shape annotations.
WASD Panning
WASD PANNING Use W A S and D to pan around the workspace while annotating. Rather than using mouse navigation, you can use W to pan upwards, S to pan downwards, A to pan left, and D to pan right. Note: Mouse Navigation functionality remains unchanged |
